I work to reduce my clients’ pain and help them thrive. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist of the State of California (MFC44675), providing psychotherapy and counseling to clients of all ages. My particular expertise is in working with professional mothers, fathers, and their children, helping them find harmony and joy again in their lives.

My services have been provided through agencies, schools, hospitals, and in private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. Agencies have included Drawbridge, Centerpoint, Bay Area Community Resources, and Community Institute for Psychotherapy. Schools have included Redwood High School, Miller Creek Middle School, and Sunny Hills.

My work is informed by many resources. Diane Foshia’s concept of AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), Daniel Siegel’s Neurobiology of Attachment, Rob Fisher’s Couples Experiential Therapy, Murray Bowen’s Family Systems Theory, and Violet Oaklander’s child and adolescent work have been particularly enriching, as well as the classical theorists Carl Jung, John Bowlby, and Karen Horney.

My nursing background has also allowed me to witness the healing capacity of support when one is under stress. My specializations have been in Prenatal Diagnosis and Genetic Testing, Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Pediatrics. I have also provided home visits for the new parent and baby, and for parents suffering post-partum difficulties or loss.

The hospitals I have been affiliated with are Stanford University Hospital, Oakland Children’s Hospital, California Pacific Medical Center, plus private medical and surgical practices.
